UN expresses grave concern over borno, kaduna attacks

The United Nations had expressed grave concern over reports of renewed killings by the armed insurgent group, Boko Haram in Borno State. A statement by UN Resident Cordinator in Nigeria, Edward Kallon, stated that the attacks, if unchecked, may reverse the gains made in protecting lives in the Northeast. The UN Chief in Nigeria also expressed sadness over the communal clashes in Kasuwan Magani area, South of Kaduna State, which claimed scores of lives and injured many.
